Vehicles that cannot be safely or legally driven on public roads are considered Inoperable vehicles and should not be parked or stored outdoors.

Inoperable vehicles may not be parked on City streets and/or sidewalks.

In order to lawfully operate a vehicle on public roadways, the vehicle must be properly Registered and have visible and current license plates and expiration stickers. Boats, boat trailers, recreational vehicles, motor homes, buses, horse trailers, utility trailers, camping trailers and any other similar type vehicles may not be parked on City streets or sidewalks except on a temporary basis, not to exceed seventy-two (72) hours.

It is unlawful for any owner, lessee or occupant of any lot or parcel of five thousand square feet or smaller within the City to keep, store, allow, or permit the keeping or storage of any vehicle which is inoperable, unless said vehicle is located within an enclosed building.

On lots or parcels greater than five thousand square feet, one inoperable vehicle located outside of an enclosed building may be kept or stored, but shall be maintained in such a manner that it does not constitute a health hazard, safety hazard or a fire hazard, and is screened from public view by means of a solid fence, a fitted cover designed for such purpose, or other appropriate means.
