About Neighborhood Services

Fountain residents can take an active role in maintaining and improving the quality and condition of their neighborhood by following Fountain's Municipal Code. These codes provide regulations to safeguard life, health, property and the public’s welfare.

The City of Fountain encourages its citizens to become community minded by getting to know your neighborhood and your neighbors. Working together we can provide and maintain safe, clean, and attractive neighborhoods.

Citizens are also encouraged to cooperate with one another in a friendly manner to
resolve concerns before contacting the Code Compliance Division for assistance. Please contact the City Clerk’s office at (719) 322-2000 with questions.

The information on this site is intended to acquaint residents and visitors with Fountain City Codes (Ordinances) that help keep our neighborhoods both safer and visually appealing. This site contains only general information, for specific Code information please contact our office at (719) 322-2032.

Code Compliance Process

Responds to citizen's concerns and patrol neighborhoods on a regular basis.

A courtesy/verbal warning may be given initially, or a written Notice of Violation may
be served to a property owner or posted on the property for violations of City Code i.e.
overgrown yards, inoperable vehicle, storage of junk, etc.

Failure to comply with a Notice of Violation may result in removal of the violations and/or service of a Summons and Complaint to Fountain Municipal Court. Vehicles in violation may also be towed at the owner's expense.
